Short Films

I majored in Media Arts Production (Film) at Emerson College, and during my time there I took classes that taught me how to operate filming equipment and work in different crew positions on film sets. I made short films myself, and also worked on many of my peers' short films, both for and outside of classes.

Short films I have written, co-written, and/or directed

A YouTube thumbnail of a white person, with black hair, in a black and white striped outfit and a rainbow propeller hat, sitting on a chair with one leg crossed over the other. They are in front of a window with the shades down and next to a small table with a letter board on it that is not in focus enough to be able to read

And They Were Roommates (2021): Created with Giovanna Moralishvili for our Intro to Narrative Drama class at Emerson. I co-wrote the script and was co-producer, camera operator, editor, and was the costume and set designer.

A YouTube thumbnail of a white person, with black hair, glasses, and a gray long sleeve shirt on, looking into a mirror that's on the inside of an open closet door

Getting Ready (2021): Created for my Intro to Narrative Drama class at Emerson. This was for a one person short film project, so the writing, directing, and everything else for this short film was done by me.

A Youtube thumbnail of a white woman, with long hair and a black t-shirt, sitting up in bed. The room is dark and she and the wall of photos behind her are illuminated by a lamp behind the pillows.

Layover (2019): Created with Mary Kassel and Brandon Sherman for our final project for our Intro to Visual Arts class at Emerson. I helped write the script, and was co-director, sound designer and recordist, and costume designer.

a man with a short afro, glasses, and short facial hair, wearing a blue t-shirt, holds a plastic spoon and looks down at it, confused. He is outside of a college dorm building, and a person with brown hair and a green shirt is partially in frame on the right edge of the picture.

Locked Out (2018): Created at Kutztown University's summer film institure. I co-wrote the script, directed and edited all of the outside shots, and was the sound designer and recordist from the shot in the trash can until the end of the short film.

A YouTube thumbnail of two shadowed people walking down a dark hallway.

Behind You (2018): Created at Kutztown University's summer film institute. I came up with the concept (no script was written) and was the director, camera operator, and editor.

A couple notable short films that I worked in other crew positions on but did not write or direct

a woman standing mostly in shadows, looking at her reflection. There are awards across the top from best horror shorts film festival, hollywood horrorfest, climax, lonely wolf, biff, and short to the point festival. It also has the title, The Cell, and the director's name, Daryn Snijdewind, across the right side of the image, and a few of the credits across the bottom.

The Cell (2022): Daryn Snijdewind's BFA thesis project film at Emerson. I was the script supervisor and second assistant camera.

a drawing of a stained glass window in the lesbian flag colors with the title, Give Me Eden, over it.

Give Me Eden (2022): Julia/Jett Thorn's BA thesis project film at Emerson. I was the script supervisor.

in the style of Andy Warhol, four pink images in a square of a closeup of a man's face with glasses and a mask on.

I Am A Deeply Superficial Person (2021): Created with Brendan Welts, Brandon Sherman, Marc Fitch, and Toby Lichenwalter for our final project for our Intro to Narrative Drama class at Emerson. I was the co-producer, assistant director, and I helped with set design.
